About this award
The Resilience Award honours young people aged 11–18 who have faced significant challenges, personal, health, family, financial or otherwise, and met them with courage. This award celebrates the quiet strength it takes to keep going when life is hard, and to use that experience to build something better.
What we're looking for
- Has navigated a significant personal challenge or adversity
- Demonstrated courage, determination or perseverance
- Continued to pursue education, growth or contribution despite the obstacle
- Inspires others through their story or example
Examples of nominees
A young person living with a long-term health condition who has stayed engaged in education, a teen who has overcome bereavement or family upheaval, or someone who has rebuilt their confidence after setbacks.
